The yarn is Frabjous Fibers merino top spun in pretty thick singles and two plied. It is very soft and the colors are more brown and blue than the orange that shows up here. I am having trouble finding the right light to take pictures by and a flash just makes everything look sunny and bright which is not the case here. We are surrounded by large fir trees and the sun, when it shows up once or twice a week, barely clears the trees to the south. In the evening it is a challenge to find enough light to spin by. We have very few overhead lights and I try to position the floor lamps where I can see the colors as I spin. I decided to work on this fiber after spending a week spinning brown on brown, brown wool carded with brown mohair, produced locally and so easy to spin but after a while I began to crave color. The brown is now plied and waiting for the sole niddy noddy in the house which is full of youngest child's spinning. Youngest child has suggested she needs her very own niddy. So for now more brown, more color and more of this.

Spinning again
On Thursday Rachel came over and we ate soup and played with fiber.
